Overview

TrustVillage was a investor-backed project I co-founded with Melinda Kim. We were part of the K5 Startup Accelerator program.

TrustVillage was a recommendation engine aimed at mom’s designed to help them assist one another through guided, organized, and structured recommendations of people, places, and things. It felt like a simple forum making it easy to use, but carefully stored and tallied recommendations in order to detect and present what users had in common, similar to how LinkedIn shows different connections today. It also featured a point system which could be redeemed in the Store for prizes donated by local businesses, typically those whom already had recommendations in the system.
